Vegan Summer Dinner Pop Up at Santa Barbara Hives in Carpinteria with Sprout Craft Creamery

Vegan Summer Dinner Pop Up at Santa Barbara Hives in Carpinteria with Sprout Craft Creamery

Santa Barbara Hives is open at 516 Palm Ave in Carpinteria! It has been an exciting month full of awesome support from locals, passerbys and the Carpinteria State Beach Campground campers. So many unexpected collaborations with local artists, jewelers and artisans making our "bee meets beach" store a fun, eclectic gift store.

The latest wave of excitement has been ushered in by our partnership with extremely talented, vegan, Chef Christopher Rayman of Sproutcraft Creamery who rode in on his bike, with beaver cowboy hat, to present his vegan cheeses. Unbelievable. You would never know, or care if you weren't, that they were vegan. We now offer "grab 'n go" sandwiches, salads and parfaits that won't have you missing meat or much else.

This past Saturday night though we had our first Pop Up Dinner in our space and Chef Rayman offered a beautiful menu showcasing his capabilities and sensibilities. It was a fantastic evening. Guests included three of our favorite artists whose work is available at Santa Barbara Hives. Chris Ward of Chris Ward Jewelry, Barbara Booth of Pedaling Paper and Tamara Thompson or MerMuse (seaweed art).
